Ben qualified from Bristol Vet School in 2002 and has worked in farm and small animal practice ever since. He holds an RCVS Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice as well as an ESVPS Certificate in Dairy Cattle Practice. As a result, he has an excellent knowledge base and years of experience in both high level farm practice and small animal medicine and surgery. Ben has a particular interest in cattle fertility, lameness and infectious disease and canine and feline medicine. He has held a number of veterinary roles prior to joining South Moor, including a couple of years as a dairy vet in New Zealand, work in a specialist farm practice in Dorset and time at the Royal Veterinary College as a Lecturer in Large Animal Medicine and Food Animal Production Medicine. He’s also spent time working overseas, including working for veterinary charities in Malawi and India. He mainly works from the Kingsbridge branch but is always on hand for team discussions and to help out across the practice when required.
